How do we get started?
Call or contact us today to get started.
After we discuss the specifics such as location, services needed, scheduling and price, a Sky Photos quote will be emailed to the client for review and signature.
On signing, an invoice for services will be generated for the convenience of paying in person or via Credit Card portal.
On the scheduled date and time, our team and equipment show up and make the magic happen!
After we create the media, Sky Photos Post Processing will review it all.
This typically takes less than 3 days. When it has matured, it will be posted in an album
How many images will I receive
Typically I take too many images. When we agree on a project contract, we may specify a minimum number of images, but I will include more if possible, so that you as a customer can have some choice when telling the story.
How much video will I receive?
Your video content will be defined in the contract. A typical video project is between 2 and 5 minutes, but I have done videos as short as 20 seconds and as long as 30 minutes, edited and delivered to a customer within 5 days.
If you need unedited video, we can create a storyboard or shot list and work from that to determine deliverables.
Where are you located?
I am based in Rensselaer, NY and can trvel throughout the greater NY Capital Region, including the counties of: Albany, Columbia, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Schoharie, Warren, and Washington.
I also work in Western Massachusetts and Vermont, and can be convinced to travel elsewhere. My farthest contracts have been in Martha’s Vineyard and Virginia.
What is your turnaround time for processed media?
I make every effort to return media within 48 hours for real estate and other time sensitive markets. For creative work I may take some additional time due to the complexity of the job and my own perfectionisim. For many regular services I can provide same day photos and next day video.
Who does your processing?
With limited exceptions all post processing is done in-house on networked computers.
For 3d tours, we use one of several services depending on the scope of the project and the project requirements.
We can also deliver media to a post processing service of your choice.
Tell me about your data security and retention
Unless otherwise contractually specified, I retain copyright of all media. If I do not maintain copyright, media is deleted within 30 days of the end of the project.
In general, I maintain a primary, secondary and remote backup of my media for a minimum of 6 months. Periodically I will purge unused or outdated photos and video
I maintain password protected access to my data and use encrypted network protocols for off site backup.
How are the photos and video delivered?
After processing the media, it will be made available on a private album for you to view at screen resolutions. On reciept of your payment, you will be provided a “download pin” which will enable you to download some or all of the media at your descretion.
The album will be available for at least 30 days from date of publication, or longer if requested.
Other arrangements are possible as well, such as uploading to your dropbox or other media location.
Can I order physical media?
You Can order photo prints, wall art, cards and more directly from the album your electronic media is presented in.
